We met a lot of fun people we helped with a FHE for this family and the little baby thought it was the funnest thing to throw crayons at me hahaha and he was laughing so hard for like an easy 20 min doing that haha! Then we met this guy Adante hes a really cool guy! We were knocking on this guys door seeing how he has been and he answers and we chit chatted a little bit then i asked him if he remembered anything about the message we shared last time and then adante's pops open the door and walks out and says i wanna hear a message! It was so cool! Then that night we had an appointment with Bryan! We watched the hour long Restoration film! It was so solid!!! He said "This movie is really awesome i really feel like i watched a history movie and not a fictional one" that was so cool! Then Thursday we ate at the church and we had a couple of investigators there. Then we went to a members house it was so awesome! Kansas has super awesome people! I love them all!!!! Then that night we went to the institute building and played pool! That was fun! Then Saturday we cleaned the church and then went and did more service! We helped that same family as last week with more yard work! It was awesome! Then we went and saw a couple people! Then we played basketball with some investigators and that was awesome!!!! Then sunday we had church  we went to the ward again! All the talks were amazing during the ward. Then during the branch i got to speak! I spoke on the topic of Happiness and gratitude it was so awesome. At least i hope so hahaha it was awesome for me learning about it hahaha here's a few things i used in my talk!

Pres. Gordon B Hinkley once said :
“How magnificently we are blessed! How thankful we ought to be! … Cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving for the blessing of life and for the marvelous gifts and privileges each of us enjoy. The Lord has said that the meek shall inherit the earth. (See Matt. 5:5.) I cannot escape the interpretation that meekness implies a spirit of gratitude as opposed to an attitude of self-sufficiency, an acknowledgment of a greater power beyond oneself, a recognition of God, and an acceptance of his commandments. This is the beginning of wisdom. Walk with gratitude before him who is the giver of life and every good gift.”
D&C 78:17-19
Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye are little children, and ye have not as yet understood how great blessings the Father hath in his own hands and prepared for you;
And ye cannot bear all things now; nevertheless, be of good cheer, for I will lead you along. The kingdom is yours and the blessings thereof are yours, and the riches of eternity are yours. And he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more.
Alma 34:38
38 That ye contend no more against the Holy Ghost, but that ye receive it, and take upon you the name of Christ; that ye humble yourselves even to the dust, and worship God, in whatsoever place ye may be in, in spirit and in truth; and that ye live in thanksgiving daily, for the many mercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you.
I was reading in 2 Nephi 5 and i read in verse 27 and it says:
2 Nephi 5:27
And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness

So then i went back and studied on how they were able to live in that happiness and in verses 11&15-17 it says:
2Nephi 5:11&15-17
11) And the Lord was with us; and we did prosper exceedingly; for we did sow seed, and we did reap again in abundance. And we began to raise flocks, and herds, and animals of every kind.
And I did teach my people to build buildings, and to work in all manner of wood, and of iron, and of copper, and of brass, and of steel, and of gold, and of silver, and of precious ores, which were in great abundance.
And I, Nephi, did build a temple; and I did construct it after the manner of the temple of Solomon save it were not built of so many precious things; for they were not to be found upon the land, wherefore, it could not be built like unto Solomon’s temple. But the manner of the construction was like unto the temple of Solomon; and the workmanship thereof was exceedingly fine. And it came to pass that I, Nephi, did cause my people to be industrious, and to labor with their hands.

Thank yall so much for all the birthday wishes and everything! Yall are awesome! I love yall so much (yes even you Damarcus).

P.s. I will be staying in Junction City for another 6 weeks at least my new companion will be Elder Saari (Sorry)!

A lottaaaaa stuff

So this week was really awesome!!!!!!! On Monday for FHE we played Volleyball and YOOOOO that got intense it was so fun hahaha took me back to the ole days when I used to be in High School. Then through out the week we had a lot of really solid appointments with a lot of really cool people!!! I love everyone here in Junction City y'all its a fetchin blast!! We always smile and have fun when were out and about!!! On Friday we had a really cool experience! So for zone conference we met in Topeaka! And that was so cool Elder Vern. P Stanfill was there and he's a General Authority and it was so awesome! While were shaking everyones hand and givin people hugs and stuff I get up to him and he reaches out for a handshake and i went in for a hug hahaha it was pretty awkward at first not gonna lie hahahaha but then we started to chit chat for a quick second! He's a really awesome guy! But at the end of Zone Conference we got to do a Q and A with him it was soooooo lit yall!!! I learned so much from him in 2 hours then I ever thought possible!

Then on Saturday we got to do service for this family where everyone is having some health problems and we got to help them out! It was so much fun I'm happy my dad taught me hard work growing up so now I know how to smile through hard work!!!! Then that day also Ian came down to visit me again! I fetchin love that guy!!!! He's such a baller! He actually had the opportunity to bear his testimony to Elder Stanfill after a devotional! How awesome is that! He is gonna be one stud of a Missionary!
Then that night there was a baptism in the ward adjacent to us so we got to attend that as well as teach a quick lesson during it so that was awesome! Two of our investigators were there! It was so awesome! They both mentioned they could feel the spirit there!!! Then us missionaries in our District had a fast for missionary work in the area! It was so awesome I didn't eat from about 3 PM on Saturday until about 6 PM on Sunday! I have no clue how i did it yall! It was wack but i know God will bless me/us for it! Then on Sunday we had 2 investigators at sacrament and they enjoyed it! And I finally found out my topic I will be speaking on for next Sunday! I will be talking about Gratitude, Positivity, and Happiness!

Side story: I actually had my talk written mostly when it deleted itself randomly from my tablet, so i wrote it again and then it deleted itself again. So i prayed on what I need to talk about again and I have a new topic so hopefully I got it right this time hahaha

Since this week is Thanksgiving here are a couple of things im GRATEFUL for:
My family! I love all of them so much! Honestly when i left i knew id miss them but not this much! When i was sitting in church on Sun. I saw this boy scratching his moms back and it made me wish i could be doing that to my mom and it made me miss her so much! Its funny how often i think of them like when im out working every little thing about work reminds me of my dad! Every time i laugh i think of Aubrey (my sis). Every time I see people doing crazy stuff I think of Damon (my bro)  hahaha. And i think of my mom when ever my craving for any drink happens hahaha! But really those are just a few examples of when i think about them! Im not homesick or anything it actually helps me out haha they motivate me to be so much more then what I am right now!

The Church: just glat out my life would be wack with out it. I would be down a rough path and probably miserable right now this church brings so much peace into lives!

The Scriptures: they give so much guidance for us and how we should be living and what we should be doing!

The atonememt: it lets me know Jesus Christ knows what is happening to me at every moment and knows all of my feelings! It helps me so much and it strengthens me to be and act more then i ever would alone!

I love all of y'all so much!

The singing french Barber

Yall im sorry but this week was wack..... it was wack in a couple of ways hahaha to say the least it was a roller coaster of emotions!
So to start off. Monday for Family Home Evening we played spoons..... y'all that was lit!!!!!! Hahahhaa it was so funny we were all diving all over the table for spoons and we were all just having a blast! Then through out the week my apartment turned into a barber shop so that was lit! But all week we were practicing our song to sing in church and y'all wow can i say were the next best thing.......

Then  Wednesday we had interviews with Pres. That was awesome! Then we had exchanges that night so I was out and about with my District Leader that was aight! We met a few pretty Dope people!!! Their all pretty swagadocious!
Then  Thursday I woke up with a COLD ahhh i was so upset so I dealt with that for a couple of days.
But  Thursday we met with Stefan (he's a French speaker) and hes from Ivory Coast! Hes so cool so I taught a lot of that lesson in French that was so cool to see! His wife Yolanda is super cool! She speaks ZERO English. So I spoke only French to her!!! It was super awesome!
Then Friday we stayed in cuz I was too sick to be productive! Then  Saturday IAN CAME UP AND SURPRISED ME! It was so cool! He is such a hoot! So we went out and did missionary work with him and had him meet some new members! It was awesome to see him again! And then  Sunday...... ohhh.....Sunday.. lol we had 4 investigators at church this week it was totally Gnarly!!!!! Except they heard our song....... hahahahahhahaha it was rough y'all...... boy oh boy....... all week long we had a member of the Bishopric join our practice and he kept saying "do exactly what you did their but better....." or "Just keep practicing" hahahahaha and wellllll....... ummm to say the least,  elder Bryan messed up a couple words and elder Neser well i couldn't hear him and me lol my throat stopped working at the end lol. Can you just imagine me going up and singing in church lol it was rough i felt so bad for those people having to hear it..... probs killed the spirit that was there...... and i was totally congested like LA traffic and couldn't even hear mg own voice lol..... it was good though hahaha a lot of people said we did good! I was just waiting for the lightning to zap them for lying in the church.  Also really good news! Vaida the little girl from back in Bel Aire the one we were teaching like every day has decided she wants to be baptized on the 25! So as of now Im planning on going to that baptism!!!!!

Love,

Another week another story

Hey yall whats cracka lackin?!?!?! But anyways lets cut to the chase like a race. So Monday was FHE and that was stinkin solid!!!!! Our investigator Patrick who stopped us last week didn't show but hey that's okay! Then Tuesday was Halloween........ Y'ALL...... IT SNOWED ON HALLOWEEN........I WAS SO SAD I ALMOST CRIED!!!! Also on Halloween Sonic was having 50 cent corn dog day and ya boy had 10 ðŸ¤—🤗🤗 hahahaha i was so impressed with myself!!! Later that day we had a super solid lesson with an investigator named Bryan!!!    Y'all it was so awesome!!! If only y'all could've been there!!!!

Wednesday was rough I felt pretty sick and same with my comp so we tried to work but it was pretty ineffective not gonna lie but hey we gave it our best shot!
Thursday was really cool! We met up with this lady Leslie and taught her the Restoration and that was really cool! She completely understood EVERYTHING! it was gnarly!  Then we had a super cool lesson with the Roth family! We taught them the plan of salvation at the church! It was really awesome! Their daughter (who is 9)  had so many questions so that was fun hahaha! But they said they want to be baptized they just want to know what their getting into first which is perfect cuz I would hate for them to go Less Active... Then Friday all of our stinkin appointments bailed on us so we just walked around trying to find people. But that night these members invited us over for their taco bar party so we were their with a lot of their non member friends and right before we left we gave a really cool lesson on positivity and being happy! So that was awesome! Hopefully their friends are more accepting to missionaries now hahaha! But it was so fun cuz the kids were all gathered around us like we were cool or something lol.

Saturday we had another really awesome lesson with our investigator Bryan we had a member help with the lesson and they clicked and had a really awesome conversation and it was so cool to be a part of!!! Then later that night we had a church tour with Patrick and his wife and 2 kids! It was so awesome we had a couple of members tag along with that too! It was so awesome they really like what they hear about the church and are really excited to get the ball rolling!!! We had members help with EVERY LESSON this week!!! The members here are fetchin solid!!!! They love missionary work and help us out so much with any and everything!!!!

Sunday one of our investigators bore his testimony! That was....... interesting hahaha but cool!!!! Y'all soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I got thrown under the bus with a couple other elders to sing in church sunday,  so please be prepared for that.............  also while going thru one of the closets we see this doll being hung by a noose.... y'all my jaw dropped straight to the floor hahaha it was so shockingly hilarious hahahahahahaha only I would find that!!!! I instantly thought lol i remember when I was a deacon hahahaha.

I love you all so much!!!!!!!!!!! Stay safe!!!!
