Week of cool miracles

Well y'all! This week was dope! We had a lot of REALLY cool miracles happen! But we will start with Monday. This isn't much of a miracle but it cracks me up. So we played football on Pday and i just left my stuff in the soccer goal didn't think much of it..... but Tuesday i realized i left it there and its no where to be found hahahahaha omg im a mess.... but its alright no biggie. 

Tuesday was awesome we had a really good weekly planning session. Honestly THE most effective of my whole mission it was pretty gnarly! 

Wednesday was AMAZING! So we had roughly 1 hr to find all day and up til now we didn't have any time because how much we're teaching. So we decided we'd pray and ask God to guide us to 3 people ready to hear the Gospel. And we promised we would be EXACTLY obedient and diligent and would talk to every person. And we went out and worked. We saw this girl walking and we started to walk towards her and she turned into an apartment complex before we got to her and we turned and followed her. But we decided to go to a different building she was going to. And i see her half way up a flight of stairs and i yelled up to her and asked how she was and said hello! She actually responded and was nice. Right then i knew we'd  talk to her that day.  After we finished that building we went to her door and she offered to let us in and teach her! She loved it and it made so much sense to her it was so cool! But after that we were pretty bummed we only found 1 but we went to institute that night because we had some people that were gonna try to come. BUT 2 members brought friends to institute and they enjoyed it!!! It was really cool to see how the Lord provides when we do all we can do. 

Thursday and Friday was fun i went to Wichita to go on exchanges with the APs. Then Sunday was awesome we had 4 friends come with us to church! Such a good day! I love yall soooooo much!!!!!

Where has the time gone....

This week was dope! First we will start off with Zach! He's such a funny guy! We got in contact with him and got him to come with us to the Klinefelters (a couple from one of the wards whos the 2nd counselor). It was so awesome! We had an amazing lesson on the Plan of Happiness! It was super cool! Zach and Marie came with us to Topeka for an "institute extravaganza". It was so bad lol i felt so bad we brought them! But they were good sports about it! It was a funny trip! 

On Sunday we had lots of success from knocking doors it was so great! Honestly so much fun!!! I love knocking doors!! We also had a baptismal interview for the Junction City elders!! Oh PS! The JC branch is..... dndndndndndndndndnndndnd a WARD NOW!!!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY! 

Lastly we got this cool self refferal named Lana shes so awesome we taught her the Resto and she is going to prepare for baptism on the 13th of October!!!!! She is so cool!!!! Well i love yall so much! Thank you for everything yall!!!!!

 

Transfer Time Again!

Wo this week was very uneventful! We have been down and out with sickness. But we got a couple of people to come to institute! It was really awesome! We had a really good exchange with the Junction City elders. It was really fun being back in Junction City. We got a lot of good work done too it was really awesome! They will be having a baptism this weekend! Sooo awesome for them! But honestly not much really happened. We did meet this guy named Zack! He's so cool! He came to church with us this week! Hes really cool and really smart! But while i was sick i had the opportunity to read the rest of the Book of Mormon it was so amazing! It was really cool! I read it this time through with highlighting or underlining anything that talked about Jesus Christ! It was so cool! I was flipping through it when i was done and wow. Almost everything is covered. It's so cool! But y'all i love you so much! Have a greatttttt week! 

More exchanges and MLC

This week was dope! We started it off with an exchange it was really cool! I had the opportunity to go with Elder Whipple from Salt Lake City! Hes super funny and a really good missionary! We had a lot of fun tracting in the rain. Then we got to see Marie again! Shes so awesome she is doing super good! She has been reading and praying almost daily! She is scared of not being Catholic anymore but shes soooooo dope! 
We also had a 9 hour long meeting down in Wichita on Thursday called MLC and it was pretty cool! We had a really good time there it was super busy but it was a really good meeting! 
This week other than that was pretty chaotic due to rain. Monday there was some crazy flooding in parts of town. Some cars were stuck cuz the amount of rain. Then it just rained all week pretty much! It was honestly so nice! I love working in the rain cuz honestly it just gives me a small idea of the extent some of our ancestors had to go through to spread the gospel. 
Sooo we have instagram now which is pretty GNARLY! But were starting to do something really cool and YSA elders in our mission is gonna test it to see how it works, and that is we will walk around without a  name tag and in normal day clothes and give people a page out of the Book of Mormon and have them highlight what the like, anything about Christ or God, and then follow it up with some questions. Its gonna be really cool! I'm soooo stoked! Its sooo cool to see the promise of the Book of Mormon being used as the instrument to gather Isreal! Its soooo amazing to be apart of this work! Its a huge blessing to me in my life and there's no where id rather be right now!

Temple Weekend!

This week was CRAZY! Such a miracle filled week honestly it wassssssss sooooooo dopeee!!!! So we had interviews this week and that was really good! It was so good to talk to President! It was a good one!! 
Then later that night i got back together with Elder Thompson it was awesome to be with him again! Hes such a funny dude! It was a really really good exchange! We saw the GNARLIEST MIRACLE with him! Soooo that means story time: so me and Thompson went and walked around campus and NO ONE WOULD TALK TO US!! So we walked back to the Institute building. Then we went to Wendy's and i actually saw the Winns! Then we felt super super super strong that we needed to find someone so we prayed to figure where they were! Then we started driving and ended up in a parking lot of an apartment complex so we chilled and prayed and figured that's where we needed go be. Like literally that was the most definite prompting I've ever received and so we knocked this place out……. And COULD NOT FIND THEM! Then we prayed and knew what building it was. So we knocked and everyone said no or didn't answer then we got to the last door and said either the Spirit lied or this is the person. And we knocked and John answered and let us in and we taught him a lesson about the Restoration! So crazy then…… he came to Institute!

Soooooo then on Saturday I got to go with my Boi Ian to the temple and Danielle came too and so did Kayla it wasssssss so awesome honestly! I loveddddd itt!!!! It was so great! It was so cool to see Ian again cuz now hes progressed sooooo much in the gospel and its incredible to see! And it was awesome to see Danielle and Kayla go too! This week was so great honestly! Well i love you all!!!

LoNg WeEk! Great Week!

This week was sooooooooooooooooooo long! But it was sooooooooooooooooo good. Lots of AWESOME things happened! So we will start with Zone Conf it was so good! President and Sister McCustion talked a lot on Doing YOUR best and about what true repentance is! It was really good! We gave a training on being proactive and not reactive, also about doing our part to make things happen in respect of peoples agency. It turned out pretty good! 

Wednesday we went on Exchanges, and I got to go out with Elder Johnson from Logan Utah! He's a good guy! We decided to walk because i thought this apartment complex was just right around the corner lol but 2.5 miles later we were there haha and it was amazing we knocked some doors and the 2nd door we knocked answered and let us in and we had a really spiritual convo and right when we were introducing the Book of Mormon his roommate walked in who's atheist and just started antagonizing us and the Book of Mormon and the spirit left quicker than you can say hullabaloo..... and then the guy looked at us and said get up and take your book and leave..... it was sad cuz I know for a fact he felt the spirit and had right in front of him the cure to happiness... but he just couldn't accept it. But we kept taking rejection in this building with people being rude and people just not interested. But we kept going and the 2nd to last door we knocked we met Savannah! Shes so awesome she actually was on the phone with her roommate warning her we were coming to knock lol but she answered anyways! 

Friday we had exchanges too! I got to go out with Elder Gardner from American Fork, Utah. He has been out for 2 months now. He is a DANG GOOD missionary! He likes to work, knows the doctrine way better than I did at 2 months lol, and is really personable when he opens up. And we had a couple lessons and did a lot of walking and talking! We saw these crazy church people on Campus screaming at people and just bashing everyone who didn't belong to their church but for some reason when we looked at them and made eye contact they found another person to fill time with haha. 

 Saturday Kayla got Baptized!!!!!!! So dope!!!!!!!! Gosh shes amazing! It was so cool! I got to go and I asked her what it felt like and she said right when my whole body went under i smiled and unlike any other time before this smile hasn't left and i'm not faking this smile!! Shes awesome! 

Sunday Mike Williams from Hutch got baptized! Awe its just been an amazing week! I love you all sooooooo freaking much! P.s. this week is gonna be litttt cuz we have the temple with Ian on Saturday! P.s.s. i have more pics on my phone that's at another elders place so ill send them later!! 

Miracles and Baptisms

This week was amazing!!!!!! We had an amazing week as a zone! There were 4 baptisms this week it was very hectic but it was amazing to be apart of!!!! So we will start off with Joshua! Hes awesome! Back story with him is I had the opportunity to teach him back when i was in Junction City and he was going to be baptized then but had a hang up and called it off last second. But now like 8 months later he finally decided its time! He's also wanting to go serve a mission! How awesome is that! We had Angie (the soccer player) come to junction to watch it with us and it was awesome! She got to meet President McCustion as well! 

Then the next day we went down to Junction again because a companionship couldn't get it together so we went and talked it out with them and got them hyped because they had a baptism scheduled that weekend! Then we took them out on a quick hour long exchange. While me and the dude I was with were on the exchange I had the feeling we needed to call the guy who was planning on getting baptized. So I told the missionary that and he was like hes probs at work and I was like awe shoot okay...... but the feeling never left so I just said lets call him anyways and if it goes to voicemail I'll feel better about it! So we called and he answered. So we talked to him and found out he was gonna have to cancel Saturday probably and the next week he was going to get stationed out in Cali for a couple months....... so we asked him if tomorrow worked and he was like yahh lets do it!!!!! So now they had about 20 hrs to prepare for a baptism! Hahahaha awesome!!!! 

Then we got to go to that baptism as well too because Angie came to junction again hahaha!!!! Such a spiritual baptism! Then we had exchanges with the APs on Friday and that was fun! We went down to Wichita for it! But the BIGGEST highlight of the week was def Danielle getting baptized! It was so amazing! She is sooooo converted to the Gospel and lovesss the church!!!! 

We are going to the Temple with Ian for his Endowment on Sept 1st! But to make it an even cooler day Danielle is gonna be there too!!!!! How awesome!!!!!!! Sorry for how long this is!

Oh p.s. Kayla the donut shop miracle is gonna get baptized this week!!!!!! The first thing she said the first time I invited her to baptism is "haha yah probably not I don't really see myself wanting to get baptized"....." and now she is just 6 days away from doing it herself!
