Month #4 in Hutch

This week was crazy...... well there we a couple high points in the week matched by a couple low points! Sooooooo we will start with the rough ones..... well Erika and her daughters dropped us.... we get a text from Kyle saying hey come over for a lesson so we do and everyone's there we sit down and Kyle goes okay so the reason i asked y'all to come over is i have a lot of questions that need answers. So turns out he looked up a ton of Anti websites and spent more time listening about what men who done know anything about our church have to say about it rather than reading and praying to see what God has to say about it. So we get asked all these ridiculous questions and i leave him stumped..... so then he gets frustrated and says well Erika and I have been talking and we don't want you to come by anymore........ and told us we weren't allowed to come by if we were gonna talk religion.... so i just bore my testimony about the Book of Mormon and said "I find it really funny how your willing to see what non Mormons say about my religion but when i start talking about it you stop paying attention. So Kyle that's probably why we've spent more time answering anti questions than going over the doctrine of the church!" Then he got real upset probs cuz the spirit got pretty strong..... but yah that was heart breaking. Now time for the good stuff! So Roman is back from Mexico and we met his Grandson who's dope and so prepared for the gospel, we met this lady named Meagan and she's fantastic! Shes so prepared too! Also we met this guy named Jamie who when we started talking to him we both got the impression hes ready so we invited him to be baptized on 7/7! And he said he will prepare for that! It was so cool! We have seen so many new people be so ready for the gospel this last week! And Mike Williams is going to meet with the Bishop this SSunday about his baptism! So exciting! Such a great week! I love y'all so much! BTW this is the last week before transfers (on June 27) so if you have a letter or anything send it early if not no biggie! Just a heads up! I LOVE Y'all and am so happy to be a missionary there no other thing id rather be doing right now honestly!

11 months already? GOOD GUAC

This week was a fantastic week! We had a lot of fun and got to teach a lot of lessons and find and talk to a lot of really cool people! Well to start off I got to lead a Book of Mormon study with some ward members and a couple investigators! That was fun the usual guy who does it was outta town so i stepped up and took charge haha! Then well i guess another thing that happened was on Wed night we got asked to speak that same Sunday hahahaha of course us missionaries get fallen back on but it was no big deal it was fun! I spoke on the 2 great commandments love God and Love others! It was so cool to go through the week with that in mind! We really got to see what its like to truly love others as yourself. It was cool! My talk in sacrament had to be 25 min long hahahaha I feel bad for the congregation . 
Thursday came and we had a real strong impression to go see this guy Mike Williams who were teaching he used to be a member of the church but wants to come back to the church. So we talked to him and hes been coming to church for the past little bit and has been wanting to get re-baptized since '96 and hasn't felt the desire so we went there and talked to him on what baptism really is and the covenant (promise with us and God) we make when we get baptized. And he looked us in the eyes and said...... Im ready lets do this. And so now he will meet with the bishop and go from there! So awesome! We taught Erika the Plan of Salvation this week and she really really liked it and shes reading in the Book of Mormon and gonna see what God tells her about it! Shes so awesome! That family is so nice and prepared they just need to follow the spirit and not the outside voices. But yah that was the extent of our week and yah it was a blast E. Curtis and I have been putting in a lot of good work and making some really good memories haha! I love y'all so much!  

This week was a gnarly week! We had a really cool zone blitz out in a town called Newton and everyone in the zone saw awesome miracles! So before this i was studying in Genisis and read about when Abraham had his servant go look for a wife for him! And he prays by the well for a wife for his master and says hey God I'm here by the well and looking for a wife for my master and the woman I say give me drink and also gives some to my donkey she is the one thou hast planned for me to wife my master. So I tried that out and said hey God help me find the elect soul that you planned for me to find and when I find them let them be wearing a  red shirt and black shorts. So we were all with different companions! And we went and went to work and we couldn't find anyone who would talk so the member we were with took out his ministering list and we went to the name that was prompted and it was Awesome! We got to give him a blessing and it was such a miracle he said he'd come to church and everything! So cool! Then on Thursday we had zone conference and that was CASH! We talked about our purpose as a missionary and about being an agent not an object in life it was so good! Then on Saturday I could just feel miracles stirring so we started to just work our tails off and later that day we went to go see Erika at work and one of her co workers was super cool and we started talking to her and half way thru the convo I realized shes wearing a red shirt and black shorts and she was so solid and tool a Book of Mormon and is gonna read and pray about it! So awesome prayer is lit Y'all! I have a very firm testimony of specific prayers bring specific answers! So Awesome! I love y'all have a fan-frickin-tastic week!  

W.o.W........Week of Wack

This week was so emotionally confusing idk even how to describe it. It was Fan-freaking-tastic but wanted to cry more than watching Seattle throw the ball on the 1 yard line. Now time to esplain myself. So last Sunday we met this guy named Kyle and he is really good friends with Erika. So we got to teach him with one of our members and he had a LOT of really good questions and we got to answer and explain! It was awesome! We ended up being able to teach him like 3 times this week and it was amazing! He met 2 different members and even said wants to come to church!!!! Through out this week we did a lot of door knocking too and we found some pretty cool people to teach! But we got a call late into the week and asking if we could sing with another member at a funeral. ......... really what...... me..... again? Did we not learn the last 2 times?? Hahaha i have no clue why i have to keep singing.... this is the 3rd time! We sang "Bright Beam Our Fathers Mercy" because it was his FAV song. So that actually worked out pretty good! Better than my other times hahaha. Then Sunday comes around and we had 3 of our people come to church! That was good! We had Kyle even show up! And it was so awesome he was taking notes and was listening very intently! It was so good! But then after church and after a meeting we had we went to go talk to him about church. And he pretty much said "yo, being mormon aint for me." And we talked to him a lot and tried to see whats holding him back. And it all just stems from a testimony of the Book of Mormon. Its so important we all have that because there are some REALLY REALLY SPIRITUAL churches out there but their missing something very important and that's the Priesthood. With out that its just mans church but with it its truly Christs Church. And that's what the Book of Mormon brings because IF its actually scripture and true THAN Joseph Smith truly translated it by the power of the Priesthood!

Transfers and Miracles

This week was LeGeNdArY. So my comp is Elder Curtis he's from Murray Utah and lived in Vegas before Utah for like 10 years. He played football and bball in high school. He's really cool really good missionary and just out of training! 

So early this week we just kinda got Thompson ready to leave to Junction City and said bye to lots of members and people we're teaching! Then at transfers we went down a little early so I could visit with a couple people in Bel Aire i saw Ian and Bro Conrady! 

Then since we got back from transfers it's been go go go! I LOVE IT! We have seen and taught tons of people! We met Erikas mom who is now super open to the gospel! We met her friend who's pretty open to learning too! It's so cool we've met lots of people who want to learn more! She talks about us all the time to her family and friends hahaha it's so awesome!!!!!!!!!! We are also teaching this Part member family who the dad used to be a football coach at a school here hahaha it's lit! We have so much stuff happening here it's amazing! So exciting to be apart of it!!!! 

We'll that's pretty much my week I love y'all!

Transfers this week!!

This week was AH-MAZING! It started out with a really awesome lesson with Erika! We went to their place and had an awesome lesson just about the basics of our beliefs! It was so cool to hear her talk about how she knows it's no coincident she met us the night she did and stuff like that it was so awesome! Then Tuesday we had interviews with good ole President McCuistion! And it was really good! Great experience! Then Wednesday we had our first correlation meeting with our new ward mission leader! He's so Awesome! Very very in tune with the spirit! We had a lot of good things here happen! We had 2 people tell us they want to be baptized after they learn a little bit more! It has been a very very very eventful week! Saturday we had exchanges and I went out with Elder Clawson and we went to see lots of people from the area and invite them to church! It was awesome to see all them! Then Sunday we had Erika and her daughter Ella Kate come to church! It was so amazing to have them join us! They loved it they said! Then later that day we got to Skype our fam! Gosh I love them so much!! I had a great week I love you all so much! I will be staying here in Hutch for another 6 weeks and be companions with Elder Curtis! He's from Utah and played football! That's all I know! Oh yah we also explored a meth house ask about that when I get home hahaha!

CINCO DE MAYO and 10 Months

This week was crazy fast y'all like good guac! Lots of really cool things happened this week! So Tuesday we went on exchanges and i got to go out with Elder Grandy! We got to go to a small town called Mt. Hope! While we were there we met this lady Ilene and we got to talk to her about the Plan of Happiness and when started testifying and the Spirit was super strong and all of a sudden you could see it light a fire in her and boom all of a sudden she was like "I got to go..... people are in my basement bye. *Slam*" The Spirit hit her so hard she got shook it was so incredible to watch her Spirit know the truth of what we say but she had no clue on what to do! 
Another really cool experience is when we were out seeing some Less Active members we met this really awesome family named the Radkes! So she is a member and hasn't come in 40 years because her husband isn't a member and she wants to have a good relationship with him! She still has a very strong testimony and knows the church is true! It was so cool and he is such a really good guy! He's suuupperrrr funny guy! We have been knocking so many doors trying to find the 1 we need to and we have been pouring  our heart and soul into this area! I love this place so much dude its so amazing! 

We got in contact with Erika this week (the lady who texted last week) and have a lesson with her  tonight! She's so awesome!  We are gonna be talking to her and her daughter too! And Sunday we got to do service for the Red Cross and put fire detectors in homes and that was so awesome we got to get into lots of houses and put a good name for the church out! We even saw people who had pass along cards in their homes hahahaha!

 Well that's pretty much the bulk of my week I love you all so much!!
