Training in Junction City

I know you are going to want a Bio of my new comp so ill give that first for yall. His name is Elder Peterson and he is from Henderson, Nevada and graduated from Foothill HS. He has been in the mission for 6 weeks before being with me. He likes the gym. He can take my sarcasm and sassiness most the time👍🏼😈..... but lastly He is awesome!
So this week..... wack! We were sooooooo all over the place and were so freaking busy and everything so please bare with me!
So Monday we had FHE and we played spoons it was lit..... until I freaking lost i hated it hahaha I hate losing😡!!!! It was Elder Saaris last FHE in JC! Sad but it was good it was a lot of fun like usually! Tuesday was wack cuz we had to do a lot of last minute packing and goodbyes so Saari could be good for the morning. Then Wed morning we had to be out the house by 6AM so we could be in Wichita for a Training meeting. So i was in a meeting from 8:45-3!  It was BrUtAl!!!! All good I'll live! Then I drove back hahahha it was so fun to drive again😆!!!! But we had to drive 30 min past JC to give other elders some stuff then drive all the way back............ Talk about CRAZINESS!!!!! Then we had to make our 7PM correlation meeting hahaha needless to say Wed was very hectic!!! Then Thursday we got back to the daily routine and got a lot of stuff done! Same for Friday!   Saturday was fun we did service again for the Johnson family! I just love that family!!!!!! 💙💙 Then Sunday  we had church and more appointments! We had almost 0 time to go knock doors or just go finding in general and knew we needed to so from 6:30-9  We went out and about knocking doors trying to find people. We worked our tails off and ended up finding 8 investigators it was so freaking awesome! God definitely will bless if we put forth the effort! 🤜🤛

So heres some miracles I saw from last transfer!
Mildred (Milly): So we got a text one day from SLC and it was a referral for Mildered and she wanted a Finding Faith In Christ movie and until this point of my mission this was the 1st time I had seen those cards be used for its purpose. So we head over there and go knock on her door and give her the DVD along with the restoration movie. We then go ahead and gwt talking about who we are and what we represent and she cuts us off and says "I know who you are. I used to study with missionaries and take the lessons and go to church. I was learning so much I was going to be baptized." She then goes on to tell us about how 3 years ago she was meeting with missionaries and was gonna be baptized but was kicked out of her house because she was studying with the "Mormons" so she was forced to move in with her family in Indiana. She felt God needed her back in Kansas so she moved back! As she was moving here she couldnt remember the name of the Book or of our church so she couldnt come back but as she was moving she saw a Finding Faith In Christ card fall out of her stuff and called it!

Odeal: One day we get a text from SLC and it was a referral for this lady named Odeal who had a copy of the Book of Mormon. She had called SLC and they mailed her a copy of the Book of Mormon instead of having missionaries get it to her. But she was reading it and wanted to know more so she got on Mormon.org and started talking about Adam and Eve with a rep and we got a text to go over there. So we go over there and get to teach her the restoration and what the Book of Mormon is. She tells us she knows 100% it is the "breath of God Himself" and teaches primary aged kids at her local church and lately has been using the Book of Mormon because it makes more sense!

Sorry this is so freaking long..... no body wants to stare at my email for fiveever so ill be shorter next week for yah! I love you all! 😙

Transfer 5, Comp 4

This week was really cool! First we started out with Apples to Apples at FHE and that was good! We didn't have A LOT of people there but we still had an okay turnout! It was good! Then Tuesday we walked around and talked to a ton of people it was a lot of fun! Elder Saari finally was starting to feel better. But his voice sounded like Batman and he talked with an Australian accent cuz it hurt less lol so we walked around and talked to  people with the australian version of batman as my comp how legendary is that?!?!?!??!

Then Wednesday.... y'all Wednesday was dope....... so we get a text from this sister serving in another mission about a referral for this lady who wants a Finding Faith In Christ movie. And any missionary will tell you the Pics of Jesus Christ we hand out never work but some how this one did....... so we go meet Mildred who moved here from Massachusetts. She used to live in Junction City 3 years ago and when she lived here she was meeting with missionaries and loves everything about the church. She knows 100% with out a doubt the Book of Mormon is true! She was gonna get baptized but had to move! So crazy how she still had the pic of Jesus Christ that she remembered about to get a hold of the church 3 years later! So freaking awesome! Then Thursday we did a lot of finding and teaching! We also had our first Book of Mormon study class! A member brought it up and it reminded me of Ensley when we were in Alabama and the missionaries did that and thought we should totally do it! So we have had the process of this for 3 weeks now and it finally started and we had an awesome turnout! We had 4 investigators there! 1 Less Active there and 6 members there. Plus 6 missionaries! It was so good! We are going to do it every Thursday so that'll be so freaking dope y'all!

Then Friday we had exchanges and I was with Elder Hall he is a Visa Waiter he is called to Ecuador hes so freaking awesome! He is brand new! So we had a blast we worked a freak ton! Then Saturday we helped with a move and had a couple appointments!  Sunday we had church and then went and tried some people I used to work with to see how they were doing!!! And then  Sunday night i got a call from the AP's and they told me they want me to follow up train! His name is Elder Peterson! I know nothing about him and will let y'all know next week!

I love you all! Have a good week!

this week....wack

This week was the slowest freaking week of my life...... But some how it flew by.... look yall i promise im sober! But im serious hahahaha!!!!!!! Weeks feel like months and months feel like weeks I promise hahahahah!! But anyways this week was weird cuz right as I started feeling better because of my sickness I was super excited to get to work and stuff and then the next day my companion got sicker than the Space Jam 11's (a pair of shoes!)! He was dying I felt so freaking bad! Home boy had a fever of 101.8° and man i was just complaining on my headaches hahaha I felt like a total wuss! So we just stayed inside and let him die on the couch. As hes hacking up his organs left and right I was studying French, cutting my own hair, and also calling people from our phone and got a TON of appointments! It was freaking gnarly! So the rest of the week from like Wed night until Sunday I was going on a different companion exchange every like 2 hours so I could get to an appointment! It was really awesome to get to meet all these awesome people and get to know them and get to teach them! I love teaching people and love getting to know people and who they are its so fascinating! We were walking to an appointment and were walking out on the main road and this lady come out of this shop and she yells at whoever I was with and I to come get into her shop so we go over and talk to her and she said "Look. It is way to cold out for you to be walking in just a sweater and a long sleeved shirt......" and grabs my arm and pulls me to this section of the store and shows me all this thermal stuff and she runs to the back and while shes gone I was thinking like well how do I get out of having to buy something..... and she runs back with a bag and starts stuffing it with all this nice military thermal jackets and pants and says here take these and it'll keep ya warm! It was so nice of her! She gave me $80 worth of stuff for free because she really respects missionaries! It was such a blessing! Also this week we have been working with this kid Cedric and hes 14 Y.O. and he committed to be baptized on Jan 20th  im so freaking stoked for this kid!!!! Hes such a good guy!!!!!! That will be such a good day for him. We also met a French Family that I got to teach and it was so awesome! I love the French people here their amazing! They all just have a real deep love for the Savior! Its so awesome!!!!!! So I will be def need to tune up my French! That's this week for ya hahaha see I was really busy but also had to spend a lot of time in doors cuz the sickness and the negative degree weather! Its crazy how cold it is here! But I love you all so much!

P.S. Next P-Day I will know transfer news for y'all! 😙

Merry merry Christmas

Merry FrEaKiNg ChRiStMaS yall!!!!! This was really awesome week so buckle up for the ride! So Wednesday around dinner time we get this call from a Sister out in the Long Beach Visitors Center and she had a referral for us to go see! So this lady Ms. Odeal she is freaking solid! She teaches her primary aged kids at her local congregation out of the Book of Mormon because she knows its true and knows its "the breath of God"! Shes freaking awesome so she totally fell into our hands and what a blessing it is I'll tell ya! We are gonna go see her again this week and she what she thought of the Restoration!

We also have this 14 year old kid and his momma were working with and the kid came to mutual last Wednesday and liked it and then came to basketball then made sure we had him a ride to church Sunday..it was so cool to see how much he liked it! We also got a member referral and he is a senior in High School and he just wants to know what is true and how to follow it hes such a good guy and genuinely wants to know the truth!!! So freaking Gnarly!

Saturday my Companion and I had to opportunity to freaking go to Wichita for a baptism of one of our old investigators! (Elder Saari replaced me in the Bel Aire ward! So he taught my Investigators too.) And on the way up there were talking about how cold it is outside (22°) and i was like I would never wanna be stuck in that! Then we blew a tire..... the front right tire just shredded off..... so now we are stuck outside in the freezing cold holding a metal rod trying to put on the spare! Hahaha only my luck could make that happen!
But the girls baptism we went to, her name is Vadia shes freaking awesome! Shes 10 or 11 years old and just a ball of positivity! She's so funny after the baptism she was smiling so big and her bishop went over to talk to her and said "Do you think Jesus is smiling as big as you are?" And Vadia says "No....... way bigger!" Shes so freaking awesome!!!!! So after the baptism we went out to lunch so i got to talk to my old comps again! All 3(LaMont, Miller, and Saari) of my companions were there it was pretty LEGENDARY!

Then Sunday we had church and we had a hymn sunday so pretty much anyone in the congregation could pick a Christmas hymn and go talk about why they liked it and then we all would sing it!! It was awesome! And Christmas was awesome! I loved talking to my family their freaking awesome! Its really cool being on a mission because for me at least I didn't care really what I got but I was like a kid on Christmas when i was waiting to talk to my family! I love y'all so much! Keep being studs!

We met this kid Cedric there hes the cousin of a member and he is looking to find the true church! So awesome this kid is super freaking cool!!!!!!!!! We taught him a little bit about the church then and then set up a return appointment!

Then Tuesday we got to help some members move and that was awesome! Then they came and helped us out with a lesson with Bryan! Bryan is so solid he just needs to feel ready then he will be baptized! So awesome he has been to church like 7 times now and truly pays attention and truly wants to know its so awesome!

Wednesday we had Zone Conference and it was so awesome we did a lot of stuff related to the Christmas season! We watched a couple Nativity videos and you could just feel the spirit so strong!!!  We also did the 12 days of Christmas and acted it out it was legendary hahaha. It was really awesome we also got these really dope t shirts (thanks mom and dad)! We also got Christmas letters from mom pops and d-bolicious! Y'all are amazing! I gots the best family ever!!!!!!!!! You guys are awesome!

Then Thursday we did a lot of service! We helped this lady with her trampoline and also help put up Christmas lights! It was so gnarly! Their so cool! Then we met with Darron one of our investigators hes really cool! But the other 2 appointments we had cancel on us! Booo!!!

Then Friday was freaking lit! It was a total blast! It was probably the best day of my mission so far when it comes to missionary work! We had lunch with the Senior Missionary couple and the rest of our district! Then we went and had a lesson with this guy named Shane and he is such a cool dude and we talked with him for a while and we just shared the Nativity scriptures in Luke 2 with him and invited him to church and our Christmas party that night. Then we went to Darron's house and we talked to him about The Gospel Of Jesus Christ and what it is! And it was so cool! He really liked it i thought and you could just feel the spirit there with us!! Then we thought our appointment with Cedric was canceled but he ended up calling us saying he still wanted to meet and so we rushed over there and we taught him the restoration! It was so awesome and you could honestly reach out and touch the spirit it felt like it was so strong and so peaceful! Hes such a good kid and really wants to learn and know the truth! It was so awesome! Then we had the Branch Christmas Party! We had 3 investigators there! It was so cool to see them there and mingle with the branch! Y'all this branch is one big happy family! Its incredible! They had a talent show and it was freaking amazing!!!!!!! All the people who preformed was really good!

Then Saturday we had service with the Johnson Family again and it was really awesome! Then we were just out and about for the rest of the night.

Sunday was wack i was pretty sick and had to miss church and just stay in and sleep all day it was miserable! But we ended up having a couple investigators at church and a couple investigators attend the Mission President Devotional! I was pretty upset I didnt get to go to that!

Yesterday was interesting! We had interviews and that was really fun! We drove up to Manhattan for that and that went really good! Then the rest of the day i got to spend inside again! I was feeling a little better but another elder in the district got super sick so we both just stayed inside and slept pretty much!

So this morning was so cool! We just got out of the Temple and all i can say is WOW!   I love you guys!

#lighttheworld

Hey Y'all! This week was so fun! We did so much stuff! We was busy as crap! So Monday we had FHE.... of course hahaha we love it! We played this game called 4 corners and its to complicated to explain so ill save y'all some reading and a headache lol. But just know its fun! We had an investigator there her name is Julisa! She's so cool! She just moved here from Cali! She is really solid!

Then on Tuesday we met a lot of people we spent almost all day finding people! Haha guys we sat on this one guys porch and talked to him for like 45 min about his life! It was so cool! We didnt talk to much about the gospel but it was good. I can talk about nothing with people forever..... imma let you guys in on a secret that I talk to much haha crazy huh! But then later that day we had another lesson with our investigator Bryan! Hes super dope! We have been teaching him for ever!!!!!! He is so close to baptism but he doesnt want to commit to something hes not ready to be all in with! Its so awesome because the Quorum of the 12 said "we need to be teaching repentance and baptizing CONVERTS" so thats awesome hes taking the time to be truely converted and not jump into something he isn't ready for!

Then on Wednesday we made dinner for a family in the branch and we got to eat it with them! It was so awesome they are amazing! They are battling some illness' right now so I offered to cook for them cuz they always cook for us! That was a really good time!

Then Thursday we spent a lot of time knocking doors. We knocked this appartment door and no one answered so we knock the one across from it and no one answered and as were going to leave the first door we knocked opened the door by "coincidence" and we got to chat with him them and then went back the next day and then have another appointment with him on Tuesday! Then we also met another guy and him and his family are interested in the gospel!

Then Friday we got to help some members move! It was so much fun! I love doing service cuz you always are seeing people smile and happiness is so contagious! Then Saturday we helped that same family we help every Saturday with yard work again and that was awesome! Then we also met some new people to teach! Then on Sunday we sang in church again! We sang Silent Night and we did a lot better this time lol! I mean could it have been worse! 😂😂😂

This week was really awesome especially doing the whole #lighttheworld stuff! Its so awesome to get out there and serve! Another really cool moment is we 2 weeks ago we had a branch fast for missionary work with members and we had this member come to church and she brought a friend to church! It was so cool to see the results of that so quickly! I love y'all! Oh also P.S. we are going to the temple next Tuesday so that will be freaking amazing!

Love
